Overview of the September 2nd Ceremony
-
The 80th National Day ceremony will take place on September 2nd at 6:30 AM at Ba Dinh Square in Hanoi, where President Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence in 1945.
-
The event will feature a traditional torch procession, ceremonial artillery fire, an air force flyover, and a grand military parade.
-
The parade will involve approximately 16,000 participants, including 43 marching blocks, 18 standing blocks, and 14 specialized military vehicles from the army and police.
-
Notably, for the first time in 40 years (since 1985), the parade will include armored vehicles, specifically tanks.
-
A naval parade will also be organized for the first time in Khanh Hoa province, with participation from the Navy, Coast Guard, Border Guard, and Military Region 5.
Military Equipment Mobilization and Rehearsals
-
On the night of August 18, tanks, armored vehicles, and other military equipment began moving from National Military Training Center 4 to central Hanoi for the general rehearsal.
-
Convoys, including nearly 90 vehicles, transported modern military hardware such as tanks, armored vehicles, and missile systems, ensuring readiness for the general rehearsal on the night of August 21.
